Twitter Tips and Resources – Part 47

Posted on 19 April 2011

This is Part 47 of an ever-growing series of blog posts, each one featuring links to 10 useful, funny and/or provocative articles/lists/blog posts/videos/sites I’ve come across about how to use twitter more effectively (and how NOT to use it).

Here are the latest 10:

  1. “7 Twitter Misconceptions” by Phyllis Zimbler Miller (@ZimblerMiller on twitter)
  2. “Stop being business-like to boost credibility” by Graham Jones (@grahamjones)
  3. “Top 10 Tips to Avoid Getting Unfollowed or Blocked on Twitter…” by Beirut (@beiruta)
  4. “Five Twitter Strategies That Every Brand Should Know” by David Rogers (@David_Rogers) on Business Insider (@BNET)
  5. “How to play nice on Twitter” by Corina Mackay (@corinamackay)
  6. “Simple tips for a better Twitter experience” by Chris Anderson (@TEDchris)
  7. “Twitter Bios and Twetiquette” by Kay Ross (@kayross – yes, that’s me). It’s a follow-up to my June 2009 blog post, “Convince Me With Your Twitter Bio. Please!”
  8. “Social Media Science: The Five W’s of Twitter Marketing” by Eric Tsai (@designdamage)
  9. “Unlucky 13? Twitter “Worst Practices” for Rookies (and Others) to Avoid” by Courtney Hunt (@SMinOrgs)
  10. “The Twitter Test” by Mitch Joel (@mitchjoel)

For a list of links to Parts 1-46 in this series (which was born on May 19, 2009), see the Twitter category on this blog.

Would you like to recommend any other good twitter resources? I certainly don’t list EVERY article about twitter that I see – I might recommend an article that I disagree with, if I think it contributes something useful to the debate, but I won’t recommend an article that I think is badly written.

Happy tweeting!

Kay Ross
